Mohammad Zaza was born in 1987 and grew up in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 2006 he moved to Syria, where he studied fine arts at the University of Aleppo. In 2010, he graduated with the highest degree and appointed as a teaching assistant in the department of Painting.
During his studies, Zaza held three solo exhibitions in Syria. He had to stop his postgraduate and leave the country at the beginning of the Syrian war.
He has since travelled in many countries in the Middle East, working and exhibiting his work in numerous exhibitions and international art fairs. Besides painting on large-scale canvases, Zaza also works on illustrations and animations.
He is known for his neo-surrealistic paintings, whose shapes and figures aim to put the viewer in another dimension of understanding. Particularly interested in conveying the idea of movement on canvas, Mohammad Zaza boldly challenges the preconceptions of form and function.
